Meet our Founder

I have been a child, a woman, a mother, a nanny, an aunt, a Montessori teacher, and, a human being. I have often been the place where the children go. My personal and professional purpose are one: to be a living, breathing, and certainly imperfect example of how to live in this world in a way that brings peace to ourselves and each other.

If I had to choose only one child that has inspired me the most to choose this path, it would be my own childhood. I look back on twelve years spent in traditional education with well-meaning adults and see that we were all part of a greater system that teaches us that we will find what we are yearning for in something outside of ourselves. I say this as one of the students that “thrived” in the traditional school setting. I may have seemed to be thriving academically, but inside, I needed something far deeper than academics. I see myself, the people around me, and my own little children, and all I can think is that what we need more than anything is to love being alive again. We need presence, connection, peace, joy, and most of all, to care for ourselves and others. To me, this is the point of everything.
